| Turn wasted television or air travel time into productive marketing. Photocopy an item of interest to prospective clients and use this time to write them a personal note and mail it to them. Hand write (don't word process) your note and envelope. Use a stamp, not a meter, for maximum effect. This personal touch results in their thinking of you, even being indebted to you, and it produces direct business or referrals. Don't include your business card, but it's a good idea to have note stationary printed for just such a purpose with your contact info provided in a subtle manner.
Look at every item that comes across your desk as being of potential interest to clients, prospects, and referral sources. Ask yourself, "How does this information impact those that I provide services to?" Interpret the impact of them in your handwritten note, and mail it. Keep thinking about your clients and you will cause them to keep thinking of you. |
